I decommissioned System 2 today. I moved out of my studio and it was too cumbersome to take with me. The huge steel knot it had created warranted some photographs, however.

Parts of a continuing series.

I noticed how the dirt and fingerprints on the side of the canvas grew as the circle grew from the center. So I unstretch and hang them to show both types of accumulation.

I soaked the paper in water and drew a circle in about one second. Everything else happened as the ink and paper dried.
